The hubby and I had brunch at Cheeky's today and it was pretty great. I ordered a mimosa with the fresh squeezed oj and he got the spicy diablo. Both were fantastic. For breakfast, I got the avo toast with their fluffy scrambled eggs on top, he got the breakfast quesadilla which had scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, and cheese. It also came with their salsa (which was so tasty).
The food was super light and flavorful. Perfect for a warm day. Not too heavy at all! Prices are slightly expensive- $12 for a small mimosa and $12 for the cocktail. My avo toast with eggs on top was $15 (didn't come with anything else), and His was $13. Although the food is fantastic, it isn't a budget brunch. Lol. But it was worth it! Service was great as well! We will def be back! -

Service was terrible, food was just adequate!
Wait was long, try some place else.
Would not recommend. -

This restaurant was horrible. The service was bad and the food was even worse.
Before even getting seated, the hostess was already rude to us. She ignored our request for a table for 3. She made eye contact with me as I asked for a table, didn't respond, then seated another group. She didn't even say to give her a minute. Once we got our table, the hostess didn't walk our group to the table. Instead she pointed and said to sit at the corner table. We were all shocked that she just pointed and dismissed us.
Our server was nicer, but she did not check on us at all. We only saw her twice. She took our order and then checked on us once while having her hands full with dirty places. We had to keep getting the attention of other servers for more food or water. It was absolutely horrible service.
The food was disgusting as well. We ordered the tots with artichoke dip. The artichoke dip looked like something that comes out of a packet. It was gray and tasted nothing like artichokes. I ordered the huevos ranchero with chorizo. The chorizo was very bland; I couldn't even eat my dish.
There are a lot of reviews saying that the Bloody Mary is the best in town. Our entire group disagrees because the mix seemed store bought and the green beans were disgusting. The mimosas were over priced as well. You only get a small glass for the mimosas. The mimosas glass was smaller than the water glass and it cost $12 which is pretty ridiculous.
We also ordered the bacon flight. The bacon was okay but it was very fatty and you could barely taste the different flavors.
This restaurant is also pretty pricy. For a group of 3, we paid close to $96 (3 entrees + 3 drinks). -

So. Great food. Our group ordered the pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict, simple scrambled eggs and the heirloom tomato sandwich along with coffees and lattes.
Only food complaint is the French toast is thinner than most French toast. Usually places do brioche, so it's cut thick; the sourdough they use is regular slices so they get a little soggy. Other than that-order all of it.
The three stars is because of service.
We sat at the counter after asking the host if the counter was open seating. He told us to go ahead- that was fine. Didn't get any menus and man-oh-man does the staff need a reality check. I get it - you are super cool. You need to let everyone know just how cool you are and how you seriously need to not be bothered- but having been in food service for over 10 years, even if it's not your table or job- when you see customers not being attended to, you say something to the effect of "hey we're really busy-someone will be right with you" NOT have a busser or a server (unknown as to what she was) whisper to the ultra cool coffee guy "there are people at the counter" and then proceed to ignore us. Busy is busy-it's great that you are, and customers are understanding. What they don't get and frankly don't care for is people looking in their direction regularly but acting as if the seats are empty.
I won't be back- a shame too, because the food was really tasty and I'd love to share this place with others. I'll warn them off instead.
But, if you're reading this, and you don't care about service then definitely go in! -

Decided to take a quick trip to Palm Springs and our first stop was Cheeky's. It has an outdoor section and also a small indoor section.
We got seated in the indoor section and we ordered the scrambled eggs and corn pancake plus a bacon flight which has a lot of different bacon selections.
The order came pretty quick and the food was really delicious. I thought the bacon flight had a good variety between sweetness and spicy flavors. You get to try the different flavors on the bacon flight.
Pretty unique with the corn pancake and bacon flight. There is a little bit of a wait but I think overall it is still a good spot if you are in Palm Springs.
